Erlinda graduated from Lamar University with highest honors (summa cum laude) with a bachelor’s degree in accounting in December 2003. She had previously obtained an associate degree in Computer Operations from Del Mar College in 1992.
After graduating from Lamar, Erlinda began working for a local property management company as an accountant and later joined Wathen, DeShong & Juncker in August 2006. Her experience focuses mainly on auditing and some financial statement preparation with some tax return preparation included. She is currently a Senior professional staff.
Erlinda and her husband, Otha, moved to Beaumont in February 1997. Otha currently works as a lab manager with Valero Refinery, in Port Arthur, TX. Otha and Erlinda have two children, Michelle, and Richard. Michelle is married and has five children. Richard graduated from Lamar University in 2018 and is working in Houston.
Erlinda is currently serving WDJ in the following capacities:

- QuickBooks and Peachtree software user
- Tax return preparer
